 There's a reason why what doctors study at university is called medicine. That's what they learn - how to give us medicine. What they should be doing is telling their patients how to change their lifestyles and diet in order to be able to stop taking medicine but they are influenced by the phamaceutical companies who want to sell drugs so doctors are effectively drug-dealers.

I remember with some nostalgia the happy times I spent with my wife and son in Barcelona when he was a little boy. I have no regrets - my time there was full of interesting moments and awful ones. When you get mixed up with the Chinese community you should expect the worst as some of them are evil, devious, deceiptful and two-faced. But my wife seemed different. We got along like a house on fire, if that's the right expression, and she can be a wonderful conversationalist if we talk about the right subjects like classical music, nature or travel, but if I disagree with her over something major like what to do with my fathe'r's house she changes completely from a delightful person into a monstrous fire-spitting dragon. I guess that's just the nature of Chinese women for you.

 I find it easier to work during the night or early in the morning as I can work undisturbed. My wife cannot tell me what I can or cannot say, do or think as she tries to do if I do anything during the daytime. I guess that comes from the terrible "education" she received in China as a child. I must try not to blame her personally. She is as much a victim of the Chinese system as anybody else. She has told me that nobody in her family is a member of the CCP but I have no way of knowing whether that's true or a lie. She does lie to me sometimes and she mistrusts what I say, despite my self-evident honesty. I guess her suspicion of other people comes from being part of the Chinese community in Barceona!

 I've been busy writing emails to a friend of mine who is a top lawyer. The results will become apparent in due course.
